How we decide what to recommend, how we keep pages current, and how the site makes money.
Who writes our guides
Guides are written and edited by Alvin Dean, editor & music producer. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting, the same way we cover AI tools for music. A human checks every page, and every recommendation is ours.
How we choose tools
- Can you use the output? Download rights and commercial-use terms come first. A great-sounding tool that will not let you release your music ranks lower.
- Quality. We judge the audio or video it makes, using the same prompts across tools.
- Price and limits. We look at what each plan actually includes, including download caps.
Keeping pages current
AI tools change fast. Each page shows the date it was last updated. When a platform changes its rules, like Udio switching off downloads in October 2025 or Suno adding download caps in September 2026, we update the affected pages.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us. We fix confirmed errors quickly and update the page date.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Affiliate links are marked, and they go through addresses that start with /go/ so we can keep them up to date.
Money does not decide our rankings. Some of the tools we rate highest, including Suno and Udio, have no affiliate program and pay us nothing. We recommend them anyway when they are the right tool for the job.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews. Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled as sponsored.
